Objectives

- Protect the university's legal rights and interests, and follow up on lawsuits, cases, contracts, and legal obligations.
- Develop contracts, agreements, and legal documents in a way that safeguards the university's rights and mitigates risks.
- Promote institutional legal awareness among staff and develop a system for risk management and legal compliance.
Main Tasks
- Provide legal consultations and opinions to leadership, colleges, departments, and university units.
- Review decisions, instructions, regulations, and procedures, and ensure their alignment with applicable legislation.
- Prepare and review contracts, agreements, memoranda of understanding, and documents with legal implications.
- Follow up on lawsuits, cases, and disputes in which the university is a party, and coordinate with the competent legal authorities.
- Monitor the university's legal rights and obligations, and take the necessary measures to protect them.
- Disseminate legal awareness and provide guidance regarding systems, regulations, rights, and duties.
- Prepare a database for legal files, contracts, and cases, and produce reports, indicators, and recommendations.
